Wednesday 18th April - Engineering Toilet Seat

Image
Today Barry spent most of the day re-engineering a 4WD step to be a toilet seat for me.  This is going to come in handy when the urge arises so that I don't need to wander into the bush and "squat" somewhere.  Saw this on the internet and Barry was able to make one with a few modifications to the step and a nice padded seat from Bunnings.  Time will tell if it is as good as it appears.   Thanks Barry xx

Sunday 15th April 2018 - Paynesville getting ready.

Just 2 weeks before we head off on our adventure to The Gibb River Road.  On the way we are going to visit Uluru for the "Field of Lights" then calling into The Olgas, Kings Canyon and then to Alice Springs before traveling up the Tanami Track to Halls Creek. Car has been serviced, a snorkel added, a pack rack put on the roof, drawers added to the back and the awning will be attached tomorrow.  It is looking pretty "butch" all set up for a 4WD trek so pretty happy about that. Our "shakedown" trip was to Cohuna for 3 days and all went well so the countdown is on.
